Thanksgiving - SPREAD THE JOY. SPREAD THE IMPACT.
As Thanksgiving approaches, I'm reminded that a great way of showing thanks is to
SPREAD THE JOY. SPREAD THE IMPACT.
I'm also reminded of the many aspects of Impact 100 for which I am thankful.
First - our wonderful Impact 100 members. We are fortunate to have ~ 500 women who are committed to improving and transforming our community. Our members give generously of their financial resources to help make the Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky area a better place. Many of our members  additionally share their valuable time and talents serving on Grant Review and Focus Area Committees, Operational Committees and on the Board. Impact 100 is an amazing organization of passionate, committed, hard-working, FUN women!!
I am also thankful for the many strong non-profit agencies that serve our community. Not only are they working every day to provide services and inspiration to people in Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky, but they also continue to generate strong new projects and programs to do even more. We are fortunate to have these agencies as our Impact 100 partners - bringing our members programs that inspire us and are candidates for funding. We just had an opportunity to meet with ~ 100 non-profit agency leaders at Impact 100's Grant Information Sessions, and the projects they are formulating for 2016 Grant requests are exciting and breakthrough. I have no doubt that we will have strong Finalists for our 2016 Grants!
It is currently the time of year when one cycle of giving is ending, and another cycle is beginning.
We are working with the four 2015 Grant Recipients to create their contracts or grant agreements. These contracts capture the goals each agency set, and they release the Impact 100 funds to each agency as key milestones are reached.
We are also heavily involved in recruiting members for 2016 - so the strong tradition of giving transformational grants to the community can continue. Many current members have already renewed their memberships for next year, and a number of new members have joined our ranks. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP. In fact, memberships amounting to ~$285,000 have been committed. For the first time in Impact 100's history - we have a very good chance of funding a FIFTH grant. In order to make this happen, we need your help!
We need our members to share their passion for Impact 100 and invite a friend to join. In order to help you recruit a friend, a special event has been scheduled:
SPREAD THE JOY. SPREAD THE IMPACT.
At this event, we will have an opportunity to hear form several Impact 100 Grant Recipients who will provide an update regarding the impact they have had on the community as a result of their Impact 100 grant.
We hope that if you are considering membership - you will join us for this event. If you are already a member, please come to hear about the IMPACT you have already made. AND bring a friend who is a prospective member. Remember - Passion is contagious!

Women's Collective Giving Grantmakers Network Award presented to Impact 100!

Congratulations to Impact 100 Cincinnati President Elect, Donna Broderick, on being awarded the
Spotlight Award
at the
WCGN Conference National Leadership Forum
in Charlotte, in October. This award was given to recognize our grant to Easter Seals Tristate - Building Value (2013 Grant Award recipient).
The conference theme was
Doing, Being, Leading
. The main focus, of course, was sharing best practices amongst all of the women's collective giving groups, and there are many! Did you know there are
14 Impact Groups
(some have Impact 100, some don't in their names, but all are based off the same model), in WCGN. WCGN members are almost 10,000 members strong, donating over $70 million back into our communities! Now, that's something for which we can all be proud!

Activities Beyond the Classroom, May We Help, Community Matters, and Freestore Foodbank will share what they learned, what worked (and didn't!) and their experiences through 2014 and 2015 with Impact 100.
And, Letters of Intent for 2016 are due on Thursday, 12/10/15 at Noon!

Young Philanthropist Program
|

We are excited for the response from the Annual Awards Ceremony concerning interest in our Young Philanthropist Pilot Program. This program targets individuals with an interest in philanthropy who would struggle to fund a new membership on their own, but feel capable of doing so in 4 years.

Support the Washing Well!

Community Matters,
2014 Impact 100 Beneficiary for their "Washing Well", showed off their
newly renovated Sanctuary space to the Greater Cincinnati community in October. Impact 100 members joined to see the new site of the community laundromat, which is coming along quite quickly!
It has been an exciting year for Community Matters and they are looking forward to how these changes can impact programming. To celebrate and also continue to leverage the momentum from the project, they are hosting a Winter Gala on December 5 - An Evening With Lower Price Hill. Impact 100 is invited!
