On the Road Again
Volunteer BC in collaboration with the Administrators of Volunteer Resources of BC (AVRBC) and the New Directions for BC's Non-Profit Sector Project went on the road again and offered full day learning opportunities in Coquitlam and in Kelowna.

Additional workshops have been scheduled for Richmond - March 6 and Abbotsford - March 18.

LinkedIn Launches 'Volunteer Marketplace'™ (Non-Profit Times)
Nonprofits can now leverage the more than 250 million members of LinkedIn to find volunteers with the launch this week of the LinkedIn Volunteer Marketplace. Members can locate skill-based volunteer opportunities and nonprofit board positions while non-profits can access an online network of 250 million professionals worldwide to find people who are interested in giving their time.

Call for Participation in Police Records Check Study
You've been hearing a lot about Police Record Checks recently, and now you have a chance to share your experience with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA). The CCLA is partnering with the University of Toronto to study how police background checks are being used in voluntary and private sectors. Click here for more info on the study.
