New Energy Efficiency Standards Coming in 2016
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) amended the current energy efficiency standards (also known as TP1) for distribution transformers.

The new standard will come into effect on January 1st 2016 and is expected, according to the DOE, to reduce energy losses by an average of 18% in low voltage dry-type distribution transformers and by 13% in medium voltage dry-type transformers. Read more

HPS Technical Support

The Technical Support section of the HPS website enables users to search for answers on a variety of different transformer and reactor topics. A Frequently Asked Questions area provides users with the most commonly asked electrical questions, while our Troubleshooting section is designed to help evaluate the performance of a transformer in the field.

In addition to the areas above, our Technical Support section provides readily available installation manuals and instruction sheets.

We welcome you to link to our Technical Support section on your website to help support your customer's needs.

Water-Cooled Transformers

HPS Europe will soon be launching water-cooled transformers.

Typically used in the drive, automation, marine and offshore industries, water-cooled transformers offer the possibility to cool the electrical apparatus with water to allow better management with the cooling systems where heat dissipation is an important factor.

This technology can be used on many transformer technologies such as drive transformers, distribution transformers, isolation transformers and more.

All water-cooled transformers produced by HPS can be certified by ship and naval certification bodies directly in HPS' testing department.
