Race from Europe to Mongolia

Jackson Jarman-Miller, an Oregon native and recent graduate of The University of Oregon, is an extraordinarily adventurous young man. So adventurous in fact, that his idea of fun is to ride a used, 1.2 liter engine vehicle 10,000 miles across Europe and Asia.

In the Mongol Rally each team is required to raise $1,000 for a charity of their choosing. Jackson and teammates Jake, Cameron, and Gabe have decide to raise more, and have set their sights on  raising $10,000 for CAI's social fundraising program HER: Hope. Educate. Rise.
Winter in Tajikistan

Because CAI works mostly with remote villages in rural communities, many that are tucked away in the mountains, weather can put a damper on any scheduled activities, and it's not uncommon for villages to slow down during the winter months almost as if they are in hibernation until springtime. And when harsh weather does hit, you can only imagine what it's like trying to get to school.

Pennies for Peace Promotes the Importance of Service
Bozeman, Montana, CAI's hometown, embraced a new chapter of our Pennies for Peace (P4P) program, launching initiatives around town. Events started on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (also recognized as the National Day of Service) and continued through the month of January. Along with fundraising efforts, including coin collections to go towards the promotion of education for girls and women in remote regions of Central Asia, the goal of the events was to raise awareness of the importance of giving back.

Teachers building a better tomorrow
Pennies for Peace
"I'm planting a seed to build awareness about what is happening in other parts of the world - especially in places where girls are denied an education. At some point, that seed will grow and my students will become mindful, giving adults."

- Pennies for Peace teacher, San Diego, CA
