NEW SCOUT PARENTS!!!  SAVE THE DATE - APRIL 20, 2016 AT 7:30

There will be a very important meeting, specifically aimed at the Parents of New Scouts (who have joined the Troop since the spring of 2015) and featuring a brief program from our Scoutmaster, Adam White.  Please make sure that you save this date and be on the lookout for more details about this opportunity to hear more about Scouting.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce you to Troop 599 and to Boy Scouts at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church.  During the session, Mr. White will elaborate on how you can help your son in his Scouting career and how you can get the most of our Scouting and the Troop.  Mr. White will also introduce you to other adult leaders within the Troop and discuss other aspects of being a Thunderbird family.

Please don't miss this very important meeting!

Rosters and Procedures Available Now

We hope you are excited about the upcoming Camporee!  If you haven't updated your red, scout notebook with the printed calendar already (you are seriously behind), you can view and print the 2015-16 calendar by going to the troop website (www.scouttroop599.org) and clicking on the Calendar tile on the homepage.

We have recently updated our Scout and Patrol rosters to include the many new scouts who have recently joined after completing their Arrow of Light as a Webelos.  Welcome!  Both are alphabetical lists.  All scouts currently registered are included on these rosters.  Please download, save and print the new Scout and Patrol rosters by clicking on the following links: http://chilp.it/08105dd

We have also recently updated our Adult Leader and Merit Badge Contact Lists, along with our Merit Badge procedures rosters to add new registered leaders (Assistant Scoutmasters and Committee Members) and delete those who are no longer registered or have moved.  All registered adults, whether Assistant Scoutmasters or Committee Members, along with their areas of responsibility, are included on the adult roster.  This list can be downloaded, saved and printed by clicking on the following link: http://chilp.it/60b11f0   If any of your contact information is incorrect, please send any updates to James Harris who is our TroopMaster guru.

Our merit badge counselor list with the District/Council list and updated our instructional/information pages for Merit Badge Procedures.  If an adult is not included on this updated list, he/she is not an approved merit badge counselor and cannot sign off on any merit badge requirements.  Thus, if you have any prior list, destroy it and only use counselors on the list at the following  http://chilp.it/650d6ed
or non-troop counselors who are included on the current District or Council lists.

If you are not included on the new list at the above link you are not an approved counselor and should not be signing off on any merit badge requirements.  If you want to be a merit badge counselor or if you are a counselor and would like to counsel additional badges, please contact Mr. Brookhart and/or Mr. Pyle.

The above links will only be available for about two weeks or so before they are disabled, so please print and/or save these new rosters now.
