Land Exchange Between Hillsboro and Beaverton School Districts
At their meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 8, Hillsboro School Board members voted 5-2 in favor of trading land with Beaverton so that planned communities in South Hillsboro and South Cooper Mountain will be served by just one school district.  Beaverton's Board will vote on the resolution Monday, Dec. 14.

2016-17 Calendar Approved by Board
Earlier this fall, the Board requested a community survey to obtain feedback about people's preferences regarding the school calendar. Results of that survey can be found here. Once it was determined that we would continue our practice of starting school after Labor Day, there was additional discussion about the placement of conferences and the statewide In-service day. The Board was provided with three different versions of the 2016-17 calendar and unanimously approved the version that retained the in-service day in October and separated conferences from Thanksgiving week.

Thoughtexchange Results
Many thanks to the more than 1,800 staff, parents, and other patrons who participated in our most recent Thoughtexchange process, which asked for feedback on our Strategic Plan. The results website is now available for viewing, and we have also included an infographic on our website that shows the actions that have taken place as a direct result of feedback we received from our other Thoughtexchange processes. Your participation matters and we are using the information you share with us--thank you!
