Year 2 schools imagine their Sweet Successes
2016 Winter Institutes are over for Year 1, Year 2 and Veteran Success Partners schools. Our year 2 schools are completing Modules 14 and 15, which will culminate in a revised PSPP, and a celebration of their strengthened partnerships with families for student success. In this picture the administrators from Walker Jr. Academy in Avon Park work on their imagining of their P.I.E. Meet & Greet. According to  Principal Jacqueline Colon-Diaz and Assistant Principal Judy Johnson,  this event was a sweet success as parents and teachers came together for an informal social evening as partnership developed and would strengthen throughout the school year. This schools was spotlighted recently for holding their parent meetings in the shape of a pie!

Mindful Leaders Are Key for Transforming School
guest blogger Valerie Brown for edweek.org

being fully present. However, stress, fractured attention, and crazy-busy overwhelm steadily erode your capacity to lead.
