 NEW 3RD SERVICE EXPERIENCE
We are implementing a new "invasion-like" program for our 3rd-6th graders during 3rd service.   This class will begin to prepare them for the transition from elementary to our youth programs.  Kids will be dismissed from service, and will share fellowship including music, group games and snacks at the beginning of class.  Our youth director, Travis Wentworth, will lead them in a message before ending with music videos and a renewed vision of prayer.  This is an exciting addition and one more opportunity for our kids to grow in their faith.
We will run On The Move during 2nd service on 2/21 and 2/28 to introduce it to a majority of our 3rd-6th graders.  It will begin full time during 3rd service starting March 6th. 


Midweek & Jr. Puppets
Midweek  programs startup again January 13th and run every Wednesday through April 27th.  Prek Midweek meets in the office hallway.  K-3rd grade Midweek meets in the Family Life Center and Jr. Puppets meet in the Quiet room next to the Sanctuary.  Bring your child from 6:30-7:45pm to enjoy fun and fellowship as they learn about the path God has for each of them.  Games, crafts and bible stories!

Children's Music Notes

Jr. Choir (3rd grade and up) meets during the school year on Sunday mornings from 9-9:30am.  They perform at holidays and periodically throughout the school year.  Rehearsals are held in the basement and interested children should attend regularly.  Please email Carrie Forristall at sweetcaroline3133@gmail.com for more information.
LOST COAT
On 1/31, someone accidentally took the wrong coat home with them. Here is a picture of the coat....which is a size 8.  The coat left at the church was size 5/6.  If you have the size 8 coat, please contact the church at 515-967-2991.  Thanks!
 
NEW TO
AUMC?

We have several classes and events during the year.  Sunday school class runs 2+ through 6th grade during 2nd service.  Children's church runs during 3rd service for Prek-3rd grade.  Midweek is held on Wednesdays (Sept-Apr) from 6:30pm-7:45pm for Prek through 3rd grade.  Jr. Puppets is also held during this time for 4th-6th graders.  We also have movie and family nights periodically, familyfest, VBS and more!
Please make sure to fill out a registration form for your child if you have not done so before.
Our goal as a children's program is to implement God into the DAILY lives of our children.  We do that through our amazing volunteers.  Please contact Brandon if you'd like to find out more info on volunteering.
