National Broadband Network (NBN)
The national broadband network (nbn) has announced that it has begun a three year roll out program to provide fast internet access to all homes and businesses in the City of Marion.
A government business, nbn is upgrading Australia's phone and internet network.
Work has already begun in parts of Ascot Park, Park Holme, Clovelly Park, Marion, Mitchell Park and Bedford Park. Services are forecast to become available progressively from mid-2016. The network is mandated to deliver wholesale speeds of at least 25 megabits per second download and five megabits per second upload by 2020 to every home and business in Australia.

Business Breakfast - Optimising the NBN
The NBN is coming...it is what you do with it that is important.
You are invited to join us for our first Marion Business Breakfast for 2016 where you will hear from:
- Mr Chris Gregory, Community Engagement Manager NBN Co, on when the NBN will be arriving in your suburb
- Mr Toby Strong, Managing Director of Podpac, about how technology has helped his business grow through faster access to export markets, and
- Mr Rhys Moult, Digital Program Officer, Polaris Centre about what one-on-one services are available to support business in the City of Marion.
