The "invitation only" STARS Summit at San Antonio headquarters was held post-SEMA. CCG continues to be one of a few select business groups in attendance, representing groups that participate at the consolidator level. Home Office and all Regional USAA PD Directors attend both the dinner and day-long event filled with leadership presentations and breakout sessions with USAA executives.

CCG continues to deliver the highest levels of KPI results amongst its peers. Each year Team CCG executives take the opportunity to meet one on one [after the summit] with USAA Leadership to share our progress and advocate for our Affiliates and CCG's highly differentiated model.   
  • CCG continues to be engaged in flurry of activity since our September launch, tripling in size. 
  • SEMA included private in-suite meetings with many of the Top-10 and Tier II carriers, as well as other industry vendors. 
  • Post USAA STARS Summit, CCG successfully recruited its new President and CEO, Bruce Bares. 
    • Bruce brings a deep understanding of insurer, repairer, OEM and vendor needs and concerns. He is widely respected across our industry constituents. 
  • Our CCG Affiliate footprint for those under contract has grown to close to 70 centers, with an additional 73 in our vetting process, with our dedicated team remaining selective and smart relative to brand manageability
  • CCG's Affiliate Loyalty Group expects 50/73 in process to meet CCG requirements and on-board, in upwards of 10 states. 
  • Early Q116 saw aggressive CCG Team meeting with executives from more than a dozen of insurers, managing two national consolidator agreements, and moving forward now with eight additional national agreement opportunities. 
Introducing Bruce Bares

In January, Certified Collision Group™ (CCG), the Certifications and KPI-focused solutions provider to the automotive Collision repair and Insurance communities announced the appointment of Bruce R. Bares to the position of President and CEO.   Mr. Bares was also elected to CCG's Board of Directors, effective immediately.  

"Bruce's extensive leadership experience in both Insurance claims management and Collision repair uniquely positions him to lead CCG and manage the 1stCERTIFIED™ initiative," states CCG Managing Director, Thomas Adams. "Bruce's vision for improving the competitive position of top performing, independent collision businesses while adding value for their key trading partners, is significant for the advancement of CCG's mission."

Mr. Bares career in Collision repair industry began in 1975, as a combination body and paint technician in the family's Midwest collision repair facility, advancing to estimator and center manager.  In 1984, Bares entered the insurance industry as a field appraiser, relocating out West. Over the next 20 years of carrier service with Colonial Penn, GE Auto and Home, and AIG, Bruce provided vision and leadership in the areas of inside and field claims operations, regional management, regional and national DRP oversight, and technology acquisitions. He eventually was appointed to the top material damage executive home office position with GE auto and Home.  After 20 years in Insurance claims management, Bruce returned to the Collision repair segment as President and Chief Operating Officer of a California regional 10-location MSO. In 2012, Bruce founded Certified Collision Centers, an Arizona regional MSO.  Bruce most recently served in an executive special projects role with the Boyd Group.
