Easter Baskets, Fillable Eggs, and Candy Needed!

Sweet Celebrations is a volunteer-led non-profit organization that partners with local homeless shelters to give birthday parties for children experiencing homelessness. This is their second year also delivering Easter baskets to kids living in shelters, and they are in need of supplies to make that happen. If you would like to help, please bring the goodies to church THIS Saturday (Mar 19). Jenny Bosworth will make arrangements with Sweet Celebrations to drop off these donations by the due date.

This would be a wonderfully fun way for our kids to help make a difference in the life of another child, by sharing the fun and Good News of Easter.

Questions? Contact Jenny Bosworth.

April 2 SuperSaturday:
Planning April 9 Youth Saturday Worship

Mark your calendars for a special treat! On April 9, the New Song Youth will lead the worship service. At the March SuperSaturday, they learned about the various parts of the worship service from Rex and are now ready to put what they learned into action. The April 2 SuperSaturday is very important as they will continue planning and practicing for Youth Saturday.

Super Kids (ages 4-9) will assist their older New Song friends by also participating in this April 9 worship. They will show us their acting abilities with a skit and musical abilities with a song. They will have fun on April 2 by painting a cardboard boat and practicing their skit and song.

Upcoming Special Worship Experiences at New Song Church

Saturday March 19 Palm Saturday Processional
In commemoration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, our entire congregation is invited to process to the altar on March 19. We'll gather in the foyer prior to worship and start the procession at 5:30. Those with budding branches in your yard, please bring them to wave and place on the altar during the procession. We'll also have palms to share.

If you have a new or gently used item of clothing such as a shirt, jacket, or coat to donate to folks experiencing homelessness, please bring it on the 19th also. Along with branches and palms, we'll carry the clothing and lay it on the altar much as early Christians laid clothing in Jesus' path. This will be our offering to those experiencing homelessness. Thank you for your participation on this special first night of Holy Week.

Thursday, March 24 Maundy Thursday Communion
Join us at 7pm as we focus upon the last supper Jesus had with his disciples before being arrested and crucified.
There is no child care for this service.

Sunday, March 27 Easter Sunday
Come experience the joy of the risen Christ on Easter morning! This is our on ly Sunday morning worship of the year, so we won't have our regular Saturday evening service the night before.  Bring your friends and family as we celebrate together. Worship begins at 9am. Because Holy Cross will also be having worship and using the child care room, we will have child care in a downstairs classroom.
Parker's Army Event at Food Outreach
Saturday, March 26 is another Food Outreach Day for Parker's Army!
