Rainbow World Fund was founded on the premise that the LGBT community and its allies is a powerful force for good in a world of much need. That belief and idea has continued year after year, as our supporters and friends have proven to be caring and compassionate, making donations, advocating, and helping our global brothers and sisters in numerous ways.
Examples of our work in recent years include attending the CARE National Conference in Washington, DC, delivering humanitarian aid to Cuba, and providing support to LGBTI individuals who were facing life-threatening discrimination in Uganda.

The CARE conference is an annual gathering of individuals who come together to raise their collective voice to Congress and the Diplomatic Corps to bring awareness of vital issues that are proven to help empower women and girls in the poorest communities around the world. By attending the Conference, Rainbow World Fund donors and advocates are able to show our compassion for some of the world's neediest people.

RWF's journey to Cuba is a unique opportunity to be in solidarity with the LGBT community of Cuba, learn about the cultural, historical, spiritual, and political realities of Cuba, and to delivery medical supplies to communities in need. On May 11-21, RWF will travel to Cuba for the fifth time. We'll visit projects that serve the Cuban people and meet with members of the LGBT community, politicians, artists, and leaders in many fields. We will learn about Cuban history, from its colonial past to its revolutionary present, plus how the complex historical relationship between the U.S and Cuba remains ever-changing. Please consider joining us on this exciting trip - highlights of this years trip include participating in LGBT Pride celebrations in Havana and Matanzas.

In Uganda, Rainbow World Fund has recently provided important financial support for members of the LGBT community who faced abuse and harassment following that country's passing into law and subsequent nullification of the Anti-Homosexuality Act in 2014. This created an environment of immense insecurity and persecution for LGBT persons (and those perceived as LGBT) and their supporters in the country.

Many LGBT individuals in Uganda continue to experience violations of basic human rights. This past year, Rainbow World Fund worked with Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG), a trusted Uganda-based partner, to provide important financial assistance to members of the LGBT community in Uganda who were being harassed, abused, and tormented for their sexuality. Thanks to Rainbow World Fund and its supporters, these individuals were provided safe transportation to new homes, provided with important medical assistance, as well as modest start-up funds for their new lives.
Sadly, our work is not complete and there continues to be great need for your support.
