We are pleased to welcome a brand new Circle to the Bellevue LifeSpring membership!
Crossroads Circle Chair Jess Garcia first got involved with Bellevue LifeSpring after attending the 2015 Step Up to the Plate Benefit Luncheon.
Why did you start Crossroads Circle? "The Crossroads area is my home and it is a great community with amazing diversity. I know that there are many people in the community who want to give back but can't necessarily make a financial contribution - so why not get a group of people together to get involved for a wonderful cause?"
What are you most excited for? "Our group is focusing on volunteer projects. We have a project to work on at every circle meeting. The last two months, we made 1,200 paper butterflies with a nice note to put in the Breaktime-Mealtime boxes. Next month we will be working on throw blankets that you tie together. All of our projects are simple in nature but they help make a big impact."
Why did you choose Bellevue LifeSpring? "Bellevue LifeSpring is a really important organization because they work with families on a personal level. They have home visits to get to know the family so they know what they need. That's what makes them unique. My whole family has been able to get involved through various projects and when your middle school-aged son says, 'The staff is so nice when we help out, it makes me want to come back and help over and over again because my heart feels full' then you have found a great organization. I can tell they truly love their mission, each other and the entire Bellevue community."
Crossroads Circle meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Community Room at Crossroads Mall. Contact membership@BellevueLifeSpring.org to join them!
