National Mentoring Month - Have You Thanked Your Mentor?
January is  National Mentoring Month. While this initiative focuses mainly on the mentoring of youth around the United States, NRMN encourages you to reflect on the importance of mentorship this month (and in all months), and to consider taking a moment this January to reach out to thank a mentor who has helped to guide you. 
Researcher Highlight: Dr. Janice Green Douglas
Dr. Douglas is a renowned hypertension specialist and physician scientist with expertise in racial and ethnic diversity as it relates to pathophysiology; clinical-trial design and execution; and the treatment of hypertension, diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
