Winter is upon us for 6 more weeks according to our furry Ontario friend, even though his predictions are at odds with our other furry friends in Canada.

"In Canada, two high-profile Groundhog Day prognosticators, Nova Scotia's Shubenacadie Sam and Alberta's Balzac Billy, are calling for an early spring, but Ontario's Wiarton Willie expects six more weeks of winter." CBC News

In the spirit of this prediction I am requesting information from anyone willing to share.

Do you you have a story about one of the events posted in the Hub this winter or perhaps a success story of an event you would like to share?

If so, please submit a small write up so that it can be shared with others.

Please continue to share the newsletter and spread the news to others. Encourage others to sign up so they do not miss out on the great activities in our community.

Sincerely,
Teal Wise

"Community is a sign that love is possible in a materialistic world where people so often either ignore or fight each other. It is a sign that we don't need a lot of money to be happy--in fact, the opposite."

Classic Albums Live - Eagles - Hotel California
Classic Albums Live performs the biggest selling studio album of The Eagles career, Hotel California.  The album was released in 1976 and eventually sold more than 32 million copies.  It was the first Eagles record to feature Joe Walsh on guitar.  Hotel California won two Grammy Awards and features classic tunes like 'New Kid In Town', 'Life In The Fast Lane,' and the title track, which many critics consider one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

DADA
Leopold Minute, a clockmaker by profession, has been repairing, adjusting and reconditioning watches, clocks and alarm clocks for his customers for several years.  He is shy, detailed and meticulous man who becomes lost in a daydream.  He is then suddenly filled with a sweet insanity that he expresses through dance, juggling and acrobatics.

Matt Andersen
A powerhouse performer, Matt Andersen's "fingers sail over his acoustic guitar strings with the speed and grace of a hummingbird," he has a giant yet soul-filled and passionate voice, and a commanding stage presence. In a word, Andersen is awesome! With over 5 million views on YouTube, independent album sales topping 30,000, a European Blues Award, Maple Blues Awards and Best Solo Performer at the Memphis Blues Challenge, Andersen's worldwide fan base shows no signs of slowing down.
Since the release of Weightless in early 2014, Andersen has received a Juno nomination for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year, A CIMA Road Gold award, and a Maple Blues Award for male Vocalist of the Year. His ninth full-length album is set for release in early 2016.
Fans can continue to depend on Andersen delivering the electrifying, jaw-dropping shows which have traditionally given rise to spontaneous mid-set standing ovations.
The London Times says, "Canada's greatest guitarist made one acoustic guitar sound like a fully staffed band. Outrageous skill and contagious joy!" But, perhaps his shows are best summed up by a reviewer for exclaim.ca who writes: "It's rare to see someone so accomplished make something look like it could be so effortless, but between his voice, his guitar work and his song writing talents, Andersen pulls it off,"...and that sums up a Matt Andersen concert perfectly!

Abbamania & Night Fever/The Bee Gees Show
The world's number one production of Abba and The Bee Gees. Sold out Roy Thomson Hall 3 times.  The only Abba production to perform twice for Mamma Mia.  Authentic vocals, look and sound.  The cast of studio musicians with violins and horn section, perform each song note for note, exactly like the record.  Both acts have performed at the Opera House 3 times before.  Hear all the hits of Abba and The Bee Gees: Waterloo, S.O.S, Dancing Queen, Jive Talking, Too Love Somebody, Stayin' Alive plus many more.
Two great shows on one stage.
