Summer 2015 is Off to a Great Start At Children's Cove!
New Faces Have Us On Track to Break Fundraising Records
14th Annual Children's Cove Golf Tournament Was a Huge Success, To Be Named In Honor of Phil & Priscilla Rollins

The 14th Annual Children's Cove Golf Tournament hosted by District Attorney, Michael O'Keefe, was a great success Monday at the Ridge Club in Sandwich. The rain held off and the sell-out tournament raised more money this year than any other! Thanks to the efforts of staff, board, sponsors and a wonderfully hard-working golf committee, everybody had a great day! Nancy's still counting the money downstairs but we'll be posting soon on social media the outcome of the generosity of the 125 golfers and dinner guests who made all the work and volunteer hours worthwhile. From all the kids on the Cape and the Islands we help, thank you!!

Next year's golf tournament will be renamed for founder and former district attorney, Philip Rollins and his wife Pricilla. Former District Attorney Rollins' forethought has provided a legacy to children and families on the Cape with the founding of Children's Cove. We unveiled the new name at the fundraising dinner and we were very happy to have the Rollins' daughter, Sam and her husband, John Davis with us for the dinner. What a special night it was.

Cape & Islands United Way Awards $15,000 Grant To Children's Cove

In addition to our fundraising, the grant asks we have put out into the community are beginning to bear fruit. We are very excited to announce that we have been granted $15,000 from The Cape & Islands United Way for our TIPNet program.  The Trauma Informed Provider Network trains clinicians throughout the Cape and the Islands to provide specific mental health care and services to children and families who have been sexually or physically abused or who have been witness to domestic violence.

Our development and marketing coordinator, Holly Brockman-Johnson and mental health coordinator, Leslie Moreland accepted the grant May 19 in a ceremony at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis.

American Business Women's Association Gives Grant to Children's Cove; Grant Will Help Educate Female Caregivers
On June 9, our development and marketing coordinator, Holly Brockman-Johnson accepted another grant for Children's Cove.  This time, from the Cape Cod American Business Women's Association. The grant will help educate women who are the caregivers of children who come to Children's Cove. Many women are faced with the challenges of becoming the sudden sole provider and need assistance in navigating health care and health insurance decisions for her child and family and the family advocacy program at Children's Cove gives women the tools and confidence to manage their family through transition and the legal process.
