TBBCF Celebrates Women's History Month
Sharing stories of wonderful women via TBBCF social media
Women ' s History Month is a celebration of women ' s contributions to worldwide culture and society. The United States has observed it annually throughout the month of March since 1987.

We have asked various women involved with TBBCF - Board of Directors members, Foundation leaders, Walk Team Captains, walkers, volunteers and breast cancer survivors - to answer a questionnaire.

We know from their answers we will gain the human interest side of TBBCF. Why do they walk? Why is TBBCF so special to them? Do they have a special person who either died from breast cancer or is struggling with this disease now? This will give many voices to TBBCF, which is truly a collaborative endeavor. More

If you are a TBBCF walker, volunteer or breast cancer survivor and would like to participate in this project, please email Ellen Swercewski at eswer@sbcglobal.net

2016 Capital Campaign Kicks Off
Help us go from great to greater ... become a TBBCF sponsor!
Our Foundation was created on the principle that 100% of gross fundraising dollars goes directly to breast cancer research. Our sponsors make that possible by providing a monetary gift to underwrite business expenses, or donate goods or services as an 'in-kind' sponsor.

In 2016 we anticipate increasing our walker participation by 20%. Our fundraising goal is $400,000 in support of four $100,000 research grants.  We are setting the bar high because we are energized by the work we see our funded researchers doing. Your sponsorship could help support close to a 1,000 walkers and volunteers from Eastern Connecticut and shoreline communities who are committed to helping end breast cancer, the number two killer of women.

The loyalty of many of our sponsors  is awe inspiring. We especially wish to acknowledge Carlin Contracting Co, Inc., Doherty Beals & Banks, Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, The Day, Pfizer, Inc, and XPLORE who have been with TBBCF since our inception.

As we prepare to kick-off the 2016 Campaign later this week, we pause to say,

"Thank You to All of Our 2015 Sponsors".

In the coming weeks, be on the lookout for more TBBCF sponsor news as we broadcast via our social media network.
