March News & Updates
Introducing the revamped Adopt-a-Room program

Every year, we must raise close to $200,000 in private donations to operate Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless. Please consider  sponsoring one of our 11 rooms and helping a family in need.
Supporters will be recognized with a plaque outside their designated room's door, created by Delavan-Darien School District students; a press release and photo sent to the local media; quarterly updates about the shelter and its residents; and online recognition.  Read more.
"I want a home with a puppy."

Many children stay at Twin Oaks with their families while their parents and caregivers work to find stable housing. Our staff and volunteers focus on helping kids enjoy their new place, even though it's temporary.

What we're learning this month

Twin Oaks residents participate in mandatory workshops during their 90-day stay. In March, the families at Twin Oaks are learning about food safety with the UW-Extension, Section 8 Housing, and "What Employers Look For When Making a Hiring Decision".
