The White House wants every child in the United States to learn computer science.The president's plan to reach that goal? Ask Congress to fund a new $4 billion program for states and another $100 million for districts to train teachers and purchase the tools "so that our elementary, middle, and high schools can provide opportunities to learn computer science for all students,"
Obama said in his weekly address on January 30.

With STEM Degrees, It's Not the School That Matters

In terms of pay, it may not matter whether you went to a prestigious, top-tier school, middle tier or a local state university. Your pay may be little different from that of your peers. In a new study, researchers looked at STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) salaries 10 years after graduation. It compared the salaries of more than 7,000 people and found little difference in wages for STEM graduates.

'Dremel Dreams' Program Integrates 3D Printing and STEM Education in the Classroom

Stratasys announced it was introducing a series of educational modules aimed at teaching students and educators the ins and outs of 3D printing technology. The promotion of STEM education through 3D printing tutorials has evidently caught on, as another major player in the 3D printing industry, Dremel, has officially launched its own 3D printing ecosystem,
Dremel Dreams, to easily and comprehensively integrate additive manufacturing technologies into the classroom.

FIRST Robotics Competition Partners with SolidProfessor
Museum of Science, Boston curriculum developers will collaborate on a project to bring new space-themed STEM resources to afterschool programs nationwide. Supported by NASA's Science Mission Directorate and led by Northern Arizona University's Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL), the $3.4 million project is called PLANETS (Planetary Learning that Advances the Nexus of Engineering, Technology, and Science).
