The ACMS Spring Discount!

Registration for Spring Early Childhood Music Classes begins this Monday, February 8th at 9 am AND we are offering 30% off the price of tuition for these classes through February 14th.  It's the perfect Valentine!
The years from birth through age six are critical to a child's learning and music development and the Armstrong Community Music School offers a myriad of early childhood music classes. Join your little one, or maybe they can do it all by themselves? Sing and dance with friends, even bilingually. Children learn about music, rhythm and movement, and most importantly, they'll have fun while doing so.

During the months of February and March the ACMS "Heal A Heart" campaign will be offering you the chance to purchase a heart for just $10 and make life a little brighter for someone in need.

After fifteen years of bringing music to the youngest children at SafePlace, we are pleased to announce that we are expanding our programming into the UT Charter School at SafePlace. Starting this month, Armstrong Community Music School will be bringing weekly music classes and enrichment to children at the shelter in Kindergarten through 5th grade, with plans to expand into the secondary school in the future. This program will be the first music offering at the charter school since its opening.

Composers A-Z, Hector Villa-lobos
Brazilian composer, Villa-lobos was surrounded by music from an early age and was inspired by his father's weekly musical gatherings.  Young Hector learned to play the guitar, cello, and clarinet. His mother wanted him to become a doctor, but he had other ideas and we are glad that he did!   Learn more about Villa-lobos right here.
