COPING WITH CHRONIC GRAFT VERSUS HOST DISEASE TELEPHONE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT GROUP 
Registration is currently open for a free four-week Telephone Education and Support Group. Coping with Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease (cGVHD) for the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant Patient and Survivor is facilitated by Sandra Mitchell, PhD, CRNP, AOCN from the National Institutes of Health. The program will take place on four consecutive Tuesdays evenings starting May 3, 2016 through May 24, 2016 from 7:00 - 8:15 pm (EST) for 10-12 survivors living and coping with the late effects of cGVHD.

Cowden Foundation  is excited to team up with the UPMC CancerCenter, partner with the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, who will serve as hosts of the 2016 symposium! This Symposium is intended for hematologists, medical oncologists, bone marrow transplant physicians, pharmacists, nurses, patients, their families, and caregivers. This unique conference will consist of two-tracks - one designed for physicians and other health care professionals and one for bone-marrow transplant survivors. Both tracks will focus on cutting edge research and new treatments. John Theurer Cancer Center is New Jersey's largest and most comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, management, research, screenings, preventive care, as well as survivorship of patients with all types of cancer.The John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC) at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) celebrated the 25th anniversary of the first bone marrow transplant (BMT) performed at the Center in December of 2015. The first transplant also served as a foundation for the next 25 years of pioneering discovery and innovation in cancer care. We welcome them and thank them for their support.

John Costin, a survivor, is almost two years out from his bone marrow transplant. Thriving, kind and connected, Costin is the former Chairman of Delta Motor Group based in Helsinki, Finland and currently is leading several automotive business ventures as President as well as managing his thriving consulting company.
For most of his career John worked for General Motors and gained his business experience working in many international positions. John lives in St. Claire, Michigan with his lovely wife Marcella.
