Thank YOU, Punxsutawney Phil!

Hello members and friends,

I know, I know - that other local groundhog says winter will linger, but I choose to believe in Phil - after all, this winter has so far been remarkably mild and welcoming. Why not think spring will make a lovely early arrival?

If only wishing something could make it so....if I had three wishes what would they be...on a wing, a wish, and a prayer...

I am someone who believes in the power of positive thinking. I also believe that prayers are answered (of course, sometimes that answer is NO, or perhaps NOT NOW).

So....what does all that have to do with the Chamber of Commerce?

Well, we work hard to identify challenges businesses face and create opportunities to provide support with those challenges. Representatives of businesses like yours give of their time and talent to volunteer on committees and as board members to help strengthen the Chamber of Commerce so there is a return on your membership investment.

We don't wish it: we make it so...together.

We need, of course, you.  What you do matters!

Please consider what you can do to help us help you as we move further into 2016.

Have you, for example...

-  renewed your membership? That's the first step!  Invoices have been emailed; please contact us if you have not received yours.

- checked out our new website, and logged into your own listing?

- updated your contact information, making sure all employees who should be listed as representatives are included?

- looked at our calendar of events or our sponsorship & advertising opportunities brochure and considered what makes the most sense for your business?

- sent an email giving us an idea of what we can do to help you in 2016?

- let us know about a special promotion or event at your business so we can share the news?

Let's continue to work together to create an even more dynamic business community.

Remember, we are here for you!

THANK YOU to:

- our returning and  new sponsors and business members

-  all the businesses who participated in the 3Chamber Women's Expo: what a great event!

-  everyone who attended the State of the Chamber luncheon

-  Board members (and friends) who explained who we are and what we do

- committee volunteers who make things happen

-  everyone who has registered to attend the State of the City luncheon next week (there's still     time!)

- Mayor Ann Womer Benjamin and Superintendent Pat Ciccantelli who will present at above-mentioned luncheon.

- YOU,for taking the time to read this newsletter and work with us.

Now let's get busy....there is much to do!
