Why horses?

Horses are intuitive animals. They can sense people's feelings, emotions, fears and truth.

"How can this benefit my family?" you may ask.

Through various games and activities I do in conjunction with horses as part of my team, we can accomplish many things!

Horses teach followers how to be leaders.
Horses teach empathy.
Horses teach communication.
Horses teach respecting your space.
And lots more!

Horses bring about emotions and feelings in people even they don't know they have.

Imagine creating a family mission and vision statement, creating a family dream board, learn great communication techniques for smoother disagreements, delve into a community charity, determine what values your family stands for.

Any or all of these can be accomplished on a Family Retreat!

1 Day Retreat

Hours: 9:30 AM-5 PM

Price per person: $179.00

Includes lunch from Subway!!

2 Day Retreat

Dates of your choice based on availability.

Hours: 9:30 AM-5 PM

Price per person: $299.00

Includes lunch and dinner the first day and lunch the second day.

In this fun filled 2 day event, your family would have more time for more adventures. See the next column for a sample schedule of events.

*We can help you find local accommodations only 5 minutes from the barn.

Family Retreat Schedule:

Day 1 would begin at 9:30 AM

Orientation to the barn and horse safety demonstration.
Horse game
Picnic lunch by the creek.
Brush horses and saddle them.
Games with horses
Family creative session on making their family crest. What represents their family? You won't believe the little twist to this fun family activity!

If your family is staying for the 2 day event, the following is added:

Day 1 addition:

Evening bonfire cooking hot dogs, s'mores, banana boats and mountain pies.
Create your own family music around the fire.

Day 2 begins at 9:30 or 10 AM

Policies:

For cancellations 7 days prior to arrival, deposits are 50% refundable, and less than 7 days are nonrefundable. If the event is rescheduled within 30 days of the cancellation, client to receive full credit for event.

Rider Requirements:

Weight restrictions exist for riders who weigh 250 pounds (113 kg) or more. If anyone in your party is over 250 pounds, please contact me for more information. All riders must also be physically and mentally fit to ride a horse to participate in our riding program. We must reserve the right to deny riding to anyone.

No smoking at Greenridge Equestrian Center.

All parties must sign a release from from Greenridge Equestrian Center and Soul Discovery on Horseback. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent and parent may sign release for them.
