A Message From the Executive Director
Dear Friends and Family of RTCA,
Chaplain Craig N. Wiley Executive Director

Thanks to you, the state of RTCA is strong! Our network of 30+ chaplains and councils is thriving and robust. How encouraging it is for me to observe our chaplains communicating with one another throughout the United States. They are sharing valuable information that can help track workers adjust to a new race track "home" for another meet on the road. These transitions for our horsemen and women are difficult and our Chaplains stand ready to help.  It is also encouraging when a Council President calls to ask for assistance regarding an important issue. This is how the network of RTCA works across the country states and at the 30 Race Tracks where our Chaplains work as God's Ministers, meeting real needs and introducing people to the love of God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ.

At our National Service Center in Lexington, Kentucky, my staff and I work to provide:
  • professional development that includes a yearly Chaplain School
  • benevolence funding to Chaplains and Councils who are in distress
  • ministry resources and new ministry start-up assistance
  • council accounts for ministry programs
  • professional consultation and industry collaboration
  • and much more!

Our goal is to strengthen our Chaplaincy network, much like the Apostle Paul did on his three mission trips around Asia Minor some 2000 years ago. We cannot do this without your help, prayerfully and financially. Thank you for your support in the dollars you contribute and the prayers you pray for Race Track Chaplaincy of America. God Bless! TOP

Holiday Spotlight: Making a DifferenceSpotlight
Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy Christmas Party
Christmas time at the racetracks can be a very depressing season for many workers whose families are far away. While most people in the community are celebrating the season along with families and friends, they are alone and bored. Other workers are fortunate enough to have their families with them, spouse and children, but the high cost of living along with other financial responsibilities don't allow them to celebrate Christmas the way that many people do, with a special dinner and toys for their kids.

This is where Race Track Chaplaincy of America comes in... Read More

" W hat great blessings our people have experienced over the (holiday season)!  More than 250 people attended the chaplaincy party and dinner at Turfway Park, hosted by Chaplain Doug Eldridge and a team of volunteers.
One of the highlights of this event every year is the Christmas program put on by the children."

13th Annual White Horse Award Luncheon WHA
Held annually in conjunction with the Breeder's Cup, the White Horse Award Luncheon is our premier event! The 2015 WHA was one of the BEST EVER! and memorable for several reasons:
The Breeder's Cup, and therefore the White Horse Awards Luncheon, was held in Lexington, KY, home of the RTCA National Office! The week-long festivities made the atmosphere of the city ELECTRIC !
A group of well-deserving unsung heroes from the Horse Racing Industry and the RTCA community was honored for their service:
