Six Steps to Proper Nutrition Lunch and Learn 

 

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) will host a free Lunch and Learn seminar on proper nutrition Friday, March 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CMH Community Rooms located at 1500 N. Oakland, Bolivar.  Rhonda Orrell, R.D. and Adam Pruett, R.D. will present on how diet affects your health and steps toward a healthier lifestyle. 

Pruett is a registered dietitian and the director of health and wellness at CMH. Previously he served as a registered dietitian and nutrition center supervisor for Mercy-Springfield for nearly six years and was the dietetic internship preceptor for Cox College and Missouri State University. Pruett earned a bachelor of science in dietetics from Missouri State University and a master of health administration from Webster University. Pruett has advanced knowledge in weight management services, medical nutrition therapy and nutrition diagnostics. He was presented the “Recognized Young Dietitian” Award by the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2014.

Orrell is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator at CMH. She is a graduate of Missouri State University and received her master of food science degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Orrell is a member of the National Certification Board of Diabetic Educators, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and American Diabetes Association.

 A light lunch will be served and reservations are requested.
