Special Valentine's Day Worship Service

On Sunday, February 14th, the Traditional Worship Team is planning a special 8:45 a.m. service celebrating love and St.Valentine. Come learn about the history of St. Valentine. Come hear the choir sing "What Wondrous Love."  Come see the children participate in a "heartfelt" activity.

To further honor St. Valentine's example, and remember all of God's "little cupids," we are asking people to bring children's diapers and wipes donations. You're invited!

Soup's On For Lent!

A new and meaningful way to prepare for the joyous season of Easter.

Join us for the five Wednesdays in Lent when we will meet in Fellowship Hall to enjoy Christian fellowship with one another by sharing a meal, some thoughts on our Lenten journey and finally to work on a service project that will help people in need.

These Lenten Services have been organized by the Celebration Worship Team and the Soup Suppers will be prepared by different organizations within the church.  Food service will begin at 6:30 p.m.  A video will be shown shortly after, followed by music and/or a short message.  The evening will conclude with everyone joining in on the service project.

Recap of Candy Cane Lane

This year's Candy Cane Lane was another huge success.  Over 110 children shopped this year.  It was absolutely wonderful to see their excitement as they walked into the shop with their Elf, selected their presents for their loved ones, and watched as their gifts where wrapped.  They feel so special and big being able to surprise their family on Christmas morning with their gift.  We had kids tell us that they wait all year for this and love shopping for their family.  One little boy even said that he was so excited to shop CCL he almost peed his pants!-so cute

We raised $1400 for the youth and mission trip.

A very special thank you for all the helpers - Registration, Elves, Check Out, Wrapping, Set Up - we couldn't do this without lots of helping hands.  An extra special thank you to Lauretta Sage and her crew.  They always provide us with wonderful homemade items.  This year they made infinity scarves.  Huge success - not one was left!

Remember as you are shopping throughout the year, or receive a special gift that isn't really something you want - bring it to church to donate to CCL.
Please think about volunteering this year as we are looking for one more leader for CCL.  It is really an enjoyable and fulfilling event to be involved in.  Please contact Liz or Becky if you'd like to join us in November with chairing Candy Cane Lane.
Thank you-Liz McChesney and Becky Hennessy
