Wasserman Projects presents 'desire bouncing' featuring Performance Architecture works by Alex Schweder, and architecture inspired paintings by Alejandro Campins and Nancy Mitchnick. Exhibited works explore our relationships to the environments around us, including Schweder's newest work 'The Sound and The Future' an interactive 15' inflatable sculpture covered in metallic vinyl and faux fur.

Growth and Decay: A Sculptural Clock Exhibition
CCS Alum, Eric Freitas pushes the boundaries of his singular creative fascination - Horology:the art or science of measuring time. For one night only - "Growth and Decay" explores the dark mechanical curiosities of timepieces. Freitas' hand forged machines are twisted hybrids of the industrial and biological - with nature inspired motifs infusing the extraordinary, but fully functional clocks.

Join artist Timothy van Laar as he shares insights into the works of his new solo exhibition "Reliable Data." The paintings in this exhibition originate in the disruptive procedures of collage. Multiple languages of paint, cataloging a wide range of painting processes, construct each painting, and these varied paint applications become specific representations and art historical references.

Cranbrook Art Museum presents the Detroit Blue Stocking Crew talks. Marsha Music is a Writer, Poet and Performer will host Michael Stone-Richards, a Writer, Educator and Founder of Detroit Research at Assemble Sound on 2300 17th Street in Detroit. The Detroit Bluestockings Crew, is a collective inspired by 18th Century Blue Stocking Society in London, a group of accomplished women who rejected their exclusion from British society's intellectual pursuits.

This multi-speaker presentation throws it all into the clay mixer to explore the history and the enduring legacy of the vessel tradition in ceramics. The program will include Stefanie Dlugosz-Acton, curator of the Pewabic Pottery exhibition, speaking on the work of Pewabic's co-founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton; Shelley Selim on the work of Maija Grotell; Anders Ruhwald on the "This is the living vessel" exhibition; and Roberto Lugo speaking on his own work and career.
