The three-day event is set for March 11-13 at Francis Field, 29 W. Castillo Drive, downtown St. Augustine. The St. Augustine St. Patrick's Day parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, part of the fun-filled weekend. Highland games, whiskey tasting, live music and a variety of entertainment also are on the schedule.
POOR ANGUS
Poor Angus is a Hamilton, Ontario-based award-winning, progressive Celtic band. The group features Highland and Uilleann bagpipes, fiddle, acoustic guitar, Irish whistles, bodhran, mandolin, bass guitar and a four-part vocal harmony.
Scottish, Irish and East Coast original and traditional pieces are arranged in a dynamic sampling of Celtic styles.
Poor Angus has an accomplished, contemporary indie sound and finished Top 4 out of 3,000 contestants in the 2013 CBC Searchlight competition.
Formed in 2005, this collection of musicians performs their exciting and entertaining music in a manner which appeals to both traditional purists and modern audiences of all ages.
Members include Andrew Bryan, violin/fiddle and mandolin; Ross Griffiths, bagpipes; Brian LeBlanc, guitar, lead and backing vocals; Joel Guenther, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; and DJ Moons, bass and accordian.
SEARSON
High energy fiddling, passionate vocals and step dancing come together as sisters Erin and Colleen Searson bring their blend of Canadian Celtic Pop to the stage.
Searson has toured for well over a decade - having recorded seven albums to date and composing all their own songs and fiddle tunes. A love of incorporating the Ottawa Valley style music with Celtic, East Coast, Scottish and various other styles can be heard throughout the live show.
