This Week: The St. Louis Local Food Challenge

LOCAL HARVEST and THE ST. LOUIS LOCAL FOOD CHALLENGE

For eight years (as of June), Local Harvest Grocery has endeavored to be your source for LOCALLY GROWN and PRODUCED FOODS.  We have worked to form relationships with and buy from farmers who use sustainable and humane farming practices.  We are fortunate to have such a bounty of wonderful products and farmers in Missouri and Illinois and it has been amazing to watch the list grow over the years.  Additionally, the list of artisan food makers, craft beer brewers, wine makers and local distilleries is expanding exponentially.

Local Harvest Grocery and Caf? are thrilled to be part of the St. Louis Local Food Challenge organized by the Tower Grove Farmers? Market.  This event puts the focus on the plethora of restaurants, farmers? markets and shops that are sourcing locally.  It challenges participants to eat more local foods and frequent more local establishments throughout the month of June (and hopefully beyond).

There is still time to sign up here http://stlfoodchallenge.org/index.htm
