Fullerton College President Finalists Announced - Open Forum Set for March 17
The three finalists in the selection process for the new President of Fullerton College will participate in an open forum on Thursday, March 17.

Transfer Awareness Week Begins
The Transfer Center will host Transfer Awareness Week, March 14-18 with a complete week of seminars, workshops, a CSU Admissions Panel, an alumni social, and a college fair on Thursday, March 17. Students will have the opportunity to connect with representatives from the CSU, UC, and private universities throughout the week. Spring Break Next Week
Fullerton College will be on spring break from Monday, March 21 to Sunday, March 27. The President's Weekly will also be taking the week off. We'll return on March 28.
Food Bank Volunteers Honored at Spirit Awards
OneOC will honor the outstanding contributions of Chris Lamm & Toni Dubois-Walker Memorial Food Bank volunteers at the 40th Annual Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. The event recognizes the dedicated service of outstanding volunteers in Orange County.

Save the Date: Spring Health Fair
Fullerton College Health Services is excited to announce its Annual Spring Health Fair on Monday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the quad. There will be free health screenings, useful information, and handouts.

President's Open Forum
In an effort to encourage communication and strengthen teamwork across campus, Interim President Greg Schulz has scheduled a series of Open Forums. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend. The forum is from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 224, today, March 14.
The Hunting Ground Screening and Panel Discussion
On March 14 at 3 p.m. in Building 1400, Room 1440 there will be a film screening and panel discussion on sexual assault on college campuses.
The Hunting Ground features multiple students who were sexually assaulted at their college campuses and were either ignored or required to navigate a complex academic bureaucracy to have their claims addressed. Panelists following the screening include
SNAP Volunteer Western Regional Director Joelle Casteix, Community Service Programs Prevention Educator Beverly Falco and Fullerton College Health Services Director Dr. Vanessa Miller.
LiveWire Open for Submissions
LiveWire, the online literary arts journal for Fullerton College, is open for prose, spoken word, art, poetry, music or drama submissions. The deadline for the Fall 2016 issue is on Friday, May 20. Find out more about the journal and submission guidelines on

Staff Development Workshops
Instructional technology and Blackboard drop-in support is available o
n March 15 at 11 a.m until 1 p.m. followed by an eLumen overview from 1 to 2:30 p.m, drop-in eLumen support from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and Blackboard introduction training from 4 to 6 p.m. in Lab 800D. There is a workshop about online tools for promoting digital literacy on March 15 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Room 801C.
On March 17, drop-in support for instructional technology and Blackboard is available form 3 to 5 p.m. in Lab 800D.
Additional Dates Added for Title IX Training
The following dates have been added for Title IX training at Fullerton College, Friday, April 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 229 and Thursday, May 19 from 10 to 11 a.m. in Room 224.

Habits of Mind: Mindfulness Basics
Staff Development has scheduled a series of events for Habits of Mind. The next workshop covers mindfulness basics and is on March 18 at noon in Room 312.
Classified Senate Open Forum
Staff are invited and encouraged to attend the Classified Senate Open Forum on Thursday, March 17 from 1:30 to 2 p.m. in Room 227. The main topic of the forum will be a review of the updated FC Facilities Master Plan with Vice President of Administrative Services, Richard Storti and Facilities Director Larry Lara.The regular senate meeting will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. in the same room and all are welcome to stay for the entire meeting.
Fire Extinguisher Training
The college's annual Fire Extinguisher training will be presented by MARX Bros. Fire Extinguisher Service Co. The training session will be hands-on training and will cover the proper use of the fire extinguisher along with fire safety in the work and home environment. Trainings will be on April 1 at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sign up using the district-wide staff development registration calendar under myGateway. Fire extinguishers will be available to purchase with cash or check. Personal fire extinguishers can also be serviced free of charge. This concert is directed by John Tebay in the Wilshire Auditorium on Wednesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $7 for seniors and students.

Baseball
The Hornets hosted Golden West in the third and final game of the OEC series and managed to pull off the a 11-9 come-back win sweeping over the Rustlers on Thursday.

Softball
Mental mistakes piled up on the Hornet softball team as they fell to Riverside City College 4-3 at home on Wednesday. The Hornet loss keeps them at .500 with an overall record of 9-9 and 3-3 record in the Orange Empire Conference. The Tiger win gives them an overall record of 8-8 and an OEC record of 3-4.

Women's Basketball
Playing for Bethesda University this season, former Hornet Aunjanay Chambers was named as the 2015-16 NCCAA West Region Women's Basketball "Player of the Year." The 6-1 junior guard from Placentia, California played for Fullerton College under Debi Woelke in 2010-12.
