The EMC 2016 and SIPI 2016 committee members are excited to introduce a new and exciting technical-program element for EMC/SI/PI engineers and researchers. Abstract Reviewed Papers can provide unique opportunities to socialize among EMC/SI/PI engineers and researchers within the renowned IEEE conference environment and to exchange experiences and ideas. To accommodate the busy schedule of practitioner engineers, only an abstract is required for the initial submission for Abstract Reviewed Papers. Abstracts are due by 21 February 2016!

Written by Danika Grenier for Ottawa Insider

When I booked tickets for the Haunted Walk of Ottawa’s Ghosts and the Gallows tour, I simply thought that it would be an entertaining evening.
My cousin, who had moved to the desert state of Arizona in the United States 10 years ago, was visiting with his girlfriend, who had never been to Ottawa or to Canada before and this seemed like a unique way for them to see Canada’s capital city.
None of us are particularly brave, but I assured them that the tour had more to do with historical facts than ghostly encounters—though I failed to mention that this particular walking tour focused on the HI-Ottawa Jail Hostel, which is often said to be one of Canada’s “most haunted buildings.”

IEEE EMC Young Professionals will get to experience the Haunted Walk of Ottawa first hand on 25, July 2016. Meet at d’Arcy McGees at 6 pm for socializing first before heading out to the walk.
