Upcoming Community Service Projects
It's February already!   Christmas is past and put away, Valentine's Day is coming up and it's time to calendar and plan the 2016 projects for IFMA San Diego's community service.
I would like to take a minute to thank all the volunteers who made 2015 fundraising for San Diego Youth Service (SDYS) a wonderful success. Storefront and Tay Academy Christmas decorating could not have happened without the wonderful volunteers. Quintiles, Sempra, and Qualcomm teams, as well as the many individuals who lent a hand, made set up and take down a pleasure. Thank you all!  I know we will make 2016 a stellar success, as well.
Our upcoming projects for 2016 begin with collecting rain coats for Storefront Homeless youth. We need poncho style rain coats. Please bring them to the February luncheon!
While you're looking in your closet ... begin collecting those work clothes you don't want to wear this year. We specifically have requests for men's slacks and polo style shirts. We will be splitting the donations between Storefront and Tay Academy for SDYS, and collect at the March and April luncheons.
May begins the work parties! We will have a painting party, along with a planter build and planting party. Dates to be determined.
June 3rd is the golf tournament fundraiser and we are excited about the online auction! This will be our 2nd year using the online tool and last year was wonderful.   It's not too early to let me know you'd like to donate an auction item. I have the donation forms ready. If you need more information, email VICKY .
Remember to bring your rain ponchos to the February Lunch. See you then!
