Although this edition of Connections is not scheduled until December, we have too much good news to wait!
Y2Y has just ramped up our capacity in a big way, as two senior Canadian Program Directors join the team. With a combined 50 years of experience, Stephen Legaultand Candace Batycki will lead Y2Y's conservation projects on both sides of the Continental Divide, from the U.S. border to the northern Yukon.
I am truly excited to work with both Stephen and Candace (and all of you!) in 2016. For more on the past successes we will build upon, take another look at the online version of our most recent Annual Report.
From the very beginning, Wendy played a huge role in advancing this vision and building Y2Y from the ground up. For that, we are truly grateful. We hope to continue to work with her in other capacities in the future.
A fixture with Y2Y since 1997, Stephen Legault will now lead projects in the Northwest Territories and Alberta, including the Crown the Continent region where he has been coordinating efforts for the last five years.
From her home base in Nelson, Candace Batycki will lead Y2Y's conservation projects in the Yukon and British Columbia, including the Flathead River Valley that extends into Montana.
When she leaves Y2Y at the end of this year, Wendy Francis can look back on a long list of conservation achievements, and she can look forward to many more in the future.
Hi, just a reminder that you signed up to receive Y2Y updates, from our website or at a partner event. If you have any feedback about this newsletter, please send us your comments and questions.
