How will the new Open Carry law affect your local business?

The House Bill No. 910 legalized open carry of handguns in Texas effective Jan. 1, 2016. But what does this mean for businesses? According to the October 2015 Texas Business Report, business owners may still prohibit handguns, both openly or concealed, on its premises. However, i n order to prohibit both open and concealed carry, the establishment must place two  separate signs that state the following:
Prohibiting Concealed Carry

"Pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under subscriber H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a concealed handgun."

Prohibiting Open Carry

"Pursuant to Section 30.07, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly."
