CHARTER SERVICE
The Rev. Herman J. Williams and Bishop Jamison J. Hardy
Bishop Jamison J. Hardy officiated at the Charter Service of Apostolic, Moses Lake, WA on Sunday, March 6, 2016. The Rev. Herman J. Williams was the liturgist.

The worship service began with the singing of "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God". Between the readings, the Sunday school children offered their voices by singing, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". Bishop Hardy preached on the theme, "A New Beginning".

Following the service everyone was invited to a dinner to celebrate the signing of the charter into the English District.

Bishop Hardy said, "Great day! Thank the Lord for these faithful people."

Ringing and singing

Submitted by Karen Graham, Director of Lambs of Faith Preschool, Naples, FL

Our music ministry at Faith Lutheran Church in Naples, FL has been a great help to the Lambs of Faith Preschool by volunteering their time and expertise to help involve the young children of the preschool ministry.

Bell Choir, Lambs of Faith Preschool, Naples, FL

Paula Leighton, our church music director, and Rebecca Dickerson, a choir member, alumni preschool mom, and music teacher, have established a bell choir with our 4-year-old/Voluntary PreKindergarten Education Program children. The music ministry purchased brightly colored bells and established a unique colored flip chart system for each of the bell songs they want to teach the children. As teachers we know this is a great math, early literacy, and science-sensory project which fits right in with the early learning and developmental standards of our curriculum.

Over the last several school years, the children's first concert of the year is for our veterans on Veteran's day, "ringing and singing" patriot songs. We've witnessed firsthand big burly military veterans eyes well up with tears just watching and listening to the children! During the preschool year the children "ring and sing" for the Christmas and Easter programs, too. We always end the preschool year with a concert for the mothers at our Mother's Day Tea.

By working with the Music Department of the church, we found a joyful and educational way to outreach and share the vision of the Preschool and Christian Education Department of Faith Lutheran Church, with our community by "ringing & singing" the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Celebrating is fun! JK3 friends at Hales Corners Lutheran School in Hales Corners, WI, celebrated "J" day. For show and tell, students were asked to bring in something that started with the letter J, and three of the students brought Jesus!
