Our 2nd Master Leadership Academy
i s finishing up the year with an emphasis on  using data to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the school.
Administrators were tasked to use the walk-through process documenting specific teaching indicators aligned with Marzano's Design Questions.  Along with a template to gather data, Sr. Michelle Fernandez, principal at St. Mary's Cathedral School in the Little Haiti section of Miami, shared some pictures that illustrate the improved quality of teaching and learning in her school.

75 administrators from around the state are enrolled and enthusiastically participating in this cohort, our second year of MLA.

Next year's Master Leadership Academy will begin in early fall 2016:
Watch for the invitation!

MINDSET MARCH
Everything you ever wanted to learn about fixed vs growth mindset!
The Mindset Kit is a FREE set of online lessons and practices designed to help you teach and foster adaptive learning mindsets.  There are entire sections devoted to  teachers parents ,
mentors,  and a section on professional development.
Take a look - better yet, use one of the short video snippets at your next staff meeting and invite your teachers to investigate.
USF is conducting a series of focus groups for a study "Students with Autism Accessing General Education (SAAGE)" to collect input on a new evidence-based intervention.
What will happen?
There will be a two-hour meeting with other parents or educators who share similar experiences and a private space to share your opinions freely.
Parents and educators who support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in elementary schools are invited to join this USF focus group.
