CAMP ERIN - LA camperin


OUR HOUSE is proud to be the Los Angeles branch of Camp Erin. Established in 2009, Camp Erin - Los Angeles is the largest partner in the network offering two sessions per summer in Malibu, CA and serving more than 150 children each year. Weekend activities encourage bonding, as well as verbal, artistic, physical, and playful expression of thoughts, feelings, memories and hopes.

VOLUNTEER GROUP LEADER TRAINING  groupleader

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of grieving individuals? 
We are looking for compassionate & caring volunteers to lead support groups for adults, children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close. 

Next Volunteer Group Leader Training: 
For leading Adult groups: 3 Wednesdays: April 13, 27 & May 4
For leading Adult or Child & Teen groups: July 6, 13, 20 (& July 27 for child/teen only)

GRIEF SPECIALIST TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONALS 
July 27,28,29 (Wed, Thurs & Fri) -- 8:45am-5pm - West Los Angeles

This 3-day intensive training provides in-depth education including intervention strategies and hands-on practice for those who wish to become a Grief Specialist for children and adults.

ATTENTION GRIEVERS  
If you are over the age of 18 and have experienced the death of a loved one between 6 months and 5 years ago, Yana Gordin, a graduate student with The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, is looking for you to participate in her research.

Specifically, she is looking at how attachment style, religiosity and spirituality have impacted your experience with grief. Your participation in the study could benefit grief support and is completely voluntary and anonymous. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes and can be found at:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the candidate we hired for our new Marketing Manager position was unable to take the position.  Please help us identify new candidates. As you know, this is an exciting time of growth for the agency and we are seeking to fill the marketing and a development position immediately.     

MARKETING MANAGER 
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for executing the agency's integrated marketing plan for volunteer recruitment and continued brand awareness. The plan oversees development of marketing collateral, social media, public relations, event, and grassroots opportunities.

ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Part Time - 20 hours/week)
As OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center launches into our second three-year Strategic Plan with heightened attention to donor cultivation and our annual Run For Hope 5K event, there is an increased need to build a strong team that will reach fundraising goals, establish deep relationships with current and prospective donors, and create new giving opportunities.
