The results of the CHIA Environmental Scan Survey are now available for review. The purpose of this survey was to receive member input evaluating the environmental trends potentially impacting the professional association and the future of health information management. | The CHIA Legislation and Advocacy Committee met yesterday to discuss proposed legislation that may impact the health information management profession in California. Of note is one bill pertaining to Observation Services; SB 1076. Introduced on February 16, 2016, SB 1076 could have potential impact on HIM professionals.
