The United State of Women movement is bringing together activists from all 50 s tates and around the world - of all ages, ethnicities, gender identities,  and religio ns. We were thrilled to take action, engage in meaningful discussions, and empower fellow women at the DC Summit on June 14!

The Summit affirmed that we are a national leader with the work we are doing in right here in  WNY - work that focuses on economic empowerment of women through safety, pay equity,   paid family leave,  female entrepreneurship, women in leadership, women in STEM, higher education and family sustaining jobs for women and  promoting self-confidence for adolescent girls.

If you missed a session, or if (like us) you just want to watch a session again, you can check out the video of the entire summit  here , along with some of our favorite  #StateofWomen highlights.

Our impact grant investments go beyond financial support - we work to add value to the programs for adolescent girls by linking them to experiences and people they might not otherwise have access to.

This spring, we invited girls from our Impact Grant Partner organizations to have a pre-event conversation with our speaker, Wendy Selig-Prieb at
What She's Made Of - check out the video below.

In addition, we facilitated a "Conversation with Successful Women" hosted by our partner, BakUSA.  The successful women included Ulla Bak, Dr. Rosa Gonzalez, Cindy Odom and Eliza Friedman.  The mentors offered words of wisdom to the girls...

"There are people who have done it and you can do it to!"
"Don't take NO for an answer... What you can do in life is infinite!"

Bak USA also offered tours of their tablet manufacturing facilities to inspire the girls to explore STEM careers!

Thanks to our gracious host and panelists for an empowering afternoon!
