In Honor of My Father...
Deanna and her father, Michael.
Dear AFTD Community Members~

Tuesday, August 3, 2009 was that day for me and my family. At 65, my dad Michael Angello - my mentor and hero - was diagnosed with FTD.

We make the most of the time that we have left with my Dad, but we still find ourselves filled with feelings of pure sadness and helplessness.

While I may not be able to ultimately help my father, I want to honor him and make a difference for others who will encounter this same disease.

Since 2012 I have served on AFTD's Board, and have pushed to raise funds and awareness  in honor of my father.  I choose to because AFTD is the one organization dedicated to ensuring a day when no family will have to endure what my family has.

With a goal of raising $50,000 to fight this disease, I have climbed to the Mt. Everest Base Camp, and taken part in multiple distance runs and triathlons. Today, I am within $6,500 of reaching my goal, and every donation helps! As Father's Day approaches, please make a donation to AFTD through my campaign page.

Sincerely,
Deanna Angello, AFTD Board Member
