Furnishing Dignity was honored to be the focus of a recent fundraiser hosted by Kim Dorney and Kate & Dave Krietor.  The perfect happy hour venue was provided by Vinum 55 and Raini Keyser. We were thrilled to hit our fundraising goal! Thank you Kim, Kate and Dave for hosting!

If you would be interested in supporting our mission by hosting a small fundraiser, please contact Joyce Petrowski

VolunteersVolunteers

We have been extremely busy these last few weeks applying for two Fiesta Bowl Charities grants and another grant from BHHS Legacy Foundation. We could not have completed these grants without the help of Kate Krietor, with Community Building and Development Consulting. She volunteered many hours helping us with research and writing support for these grants.  Thank You, Kate!

During the summer months we are limiting our donation pick-ups due to the hot weather.

Email us to be added to our volunteer list.  An email is sent at the beginning of the month with the dates/times.

PutyourdollarstoworkPut your dollars to work!

There are many ways to help us with a financial donation:

1.  Arizona Qualifying Charitable Tax Credit - individuals can now contribute up to $400 and married couples can contribute up to $800.  Simply make a donation to Furnishing Dignity and you may be eligible for a matching amount credit (up to $400 individual/$800 married) on your Arizona taxes. Please consult your tax advisor for eligibility.

2.  United Way Campaign - do you donate to United Way through your payroll?  Choose Furnishing Dignity as your charity.

3.  Employer Matching Funds - check with the Human Resources department at work to see if they will match your financial contribution and/or volunteer hours.  It is a simple process to get Furnishing Dignity registered with your employer.

4.  Amazon Smile - do you shop at Amazon?  Amazon makes it easy to give back to charities.  Go to smile.amazon.com and log-in as usual and select Furnishing Dignity from charity drop down box.  Each time you shop, remember to log into smile.amazon.com and a portion of your eligible purchases will be donated to Furnishing Dignity.

All of this will provide much needed funding for us in order to continue to carry out our mission.  Furnishing Dignity provides a much needed service to the working poor in Phoenix transitioning from homelessness to self-sufficiency and foster adults aging out of the foster care system.
OurMissionatwork Our mission at work

In May, we helped 6 households totaling 8 adults and 13 children. These families are now one step closer to becoming self-sufficient.

"I see our life changing as a result of (the) furniture provided because we now have family comfort." -Samone B., a young married mother of two

You, our donors and partners, are the biggest reason for our success. Thank you for your support of our mission!   A big thank you to Will and Stacey Lykins, Realtors with West USA for donating the use of their truck and Get Your Move On for donating their moving services!
