. Pledge to read the TRC summary report - starting on June 21, 2016, National Aboriginal Day. Over 3,000 Canadians have already made the pledge. Think of it as a nation-building exercise.
As YWCA Toronto's 2016 Woman of Distinction recipient Roberta Jamieson reminds us, we must all advocate for "a Canada where there are no murdered Indigenous women ... a Canada without Indigenous poverty, a Canada where there is no crisis in Indigenous health or Indigenous education, or Indigenous incarceration." This is the positive change embodied in the TRC report.
