Congratulations! We've earned the seal of excellence
FRLT achieves national accreditation

LTAC Seal of Accreditation In February 2015, your land trust achieved national accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission

We join the ranks of just 301 land trusts across the country (out of 1,100+) that now bear the seal of accreditation.

The seal identifies land trusts that meet national standards for excellence, uphold the public trust, and ensure that conservation efforts are permanent.

Accreditation is a rigorous evaluation of our practices to ensure that our conservation work can last legally and financially and benefit the public...forever.

In a very real sense, we ALL carry the seal of excellence together. We absolutely could not do it with you. Thank you!

Living With Nature: Meet FRLT Staffer Linda Blum
"Living with nature makes me feel that our troubles aren't insurmountable."

FRLT staffer Linda Blum
Linda in her favorite surroundings: Nature
If you've been around Plumas County for long, and you do anything related to art, birds, forests, or land, it's likely you've come across Linda Blum. Linda joined FRLT's staff as a Program Specialist in September 2014.

Linda often hosts friends and family who come to experience the beauty of life in the mountains, and then bemoan that they must "go back to the real world."

Linda takes a different view. "Living with Sandhill Cranes as our neighbors, you are also in the real world," she says.

Her excitement at seeing the resurgence of these charismatic birds in the region due to the conservation of wet meadow habitat is palpable.

From helping to bring back the California Condor to protecting bird habitat in the Sierra, Linda brings a fascinating history to her new work at FRLT. Ultimately, saving bird habitat is what brought Linda to the Feather River region in the first place.
