Eastside Pathways News
January All-Partner Meeting

Eastside Pathways held its first All-Partner Meeting for 2016 on January 28, at Bellevue City Hall.

The meeting kicked off with an activity that involved the attendees trying to move a tennis ball (representing a student) towards a goal (graduation) using ropes. It demonstrated that only by working together, aligned towards a common objective, can we succeed in getting students to graduate. The attendees reflected on the fact that organizations are interconnected, and the success of one affects the success of others as well as of the community as a whole.

In contrast to previous meetings, the participants were mostly executive-level leadership of Eastside Pathways partner organizations. This enabled the group to engage in high-level strategic conversations about what collective impact requires of each of us and how we can better organize to accomplish our shared goals. Throughout the meeting, attendees reflected on what to keep, add, and change about their current work and engagement with the partnership.

As a follow up to the All-Partner Meeting, the Eastside Pathways backbone staff will be contacting each partner to set up one-on-one meetings to formally recommit to the collective work.

Eastside Pathways wishes to thank all of our donors for their generous contributions. Their support helps ensure that all children in Bellevue grow up to be confident, capable, contributing members of the community.
