"Guest at Your Table" to raise funds for the UU Service Committee is now in progress until Sunday, March  20.  Boxes and/or envelopes plus literature are available on the Social Action table.  With a contribution, you become a member of UUSC.  Join us in practicing some of our UU values--justice, equity and compassion.  Questions?  see Barb Hultgren.

   Calling all UU's to more intimate fellowship!  Marcia Westra is organizing serendipity dinners this year.  There is a list of those willing to host and another for those wishing to attend.  Please sign up after the Sunday  service or email her at [email protected].   
   These gatherings are very pleasant and fun.  Please try it if you haven't done it or come on out again.    
F arlekas Tribute Concert, is Sat., 
Feb. 27th
The tribute concert to honor the life and memory of  UU friend-journalist-humanitarian-promoter of the arts and the downtrodden Chris Farlekas has been scheduled for Feb. 27. For more details and to volunteer for this concert that will provide funding for a food pantry in Chris' native Port Jervis and the good works of the UUCRT please contact Mike Landrum at 917-647-7893 or [email protected]

   'The Good War and Those Who Refused to Fight It'
'The Good War and Those Who Refused to Fight It'  - Prize-winning Documentary - Sat. March 5, 7 p.m.,      The previously untold story of conscientious objectors in World War II, a story of personal courage, idealism and nonconformity about men whose   lo ve of country could not extend to killing their fellow man, no matter how worthy the cause. Discussion leader is special guest F. Peter Philips, Clerk of the Cornwall Quaker Meeting and conscientious objector in the Viet Nam War;   $5-10 donation welcomed. No one turned away for lack of funds. Snow date: Sun.   Trash to Treasure Event March 12 at the UUCRT
 On Saturday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. join us for a "Trash 2 Treasure" event at 9 Vance Road. It's like a tag sale but it's free! Clear out your closets and attics and bring some goodies to get rid of while looking over other peoples'  free "treasures.  (No pricing, no setting up your driveway, just bring it!)   Any leftover goodies will be donated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters. There will be a bake sale and a 50-50 raffle.
