A Note From Our President

Dear Members,

We are gearing up for our Association Spring Meeting & Motorcoach Professional Awards Luncheon scheduled for March 15th at Bally's. We are pleased with the response and attendance numbers.  If you are still interested in attending but missed the February 15th deadline, please contact Pattie Cowley, our Executive Director.

The board members have been busy with several initiatives to support the membership:
  • We have a meeting scheduled in April with the Commissioner of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission to address the concerns of our members in regards to the CDL testing and licensing delays.
  • We submitted a request to NJ Transit sharing our collective interest in bidding on transportation services with the potential NJ Transit strike. This week, we have been notified that were determined 'qualified' to provide fixed route motor coach ground transportation services in direct response to emergent situations, which include any event, man-made or natural, that interferes with or otherwise disrupts NJ TRANSIT's operations'.  Stay tuned for more on this.
  • Several board members attended the ABA and UMA conferences held in January and early February.  It is always good to reconnect with industry friends and make new connections that benefit the Association.
  • We are looking to recruit new members and develop new programs & partnerships to benefit the membership.
We look forward to seeing you March 15th!

Sincerely,

Tim Stout
President
