Pastor's Message
Dear Friends in Christ,

I am so thankful for my family and the relationships we share.  At the end of a day, it is so refreshing to come home and share our mutual love and acceptance.  Repentance is like coming home.  Jesus wants us to know that he is always ready to welcome us home.  In this Sunday's Gospel reading, Jesus teaches us if there is something that is disrupting our relationship and connection to Jesus, then we need to turn away from it, or we will perish.  No sin is worse than another.  Unless we repent, we will perish.

Repentance is turning away from sin and coming to Jesus in faith.  With Jesus it is always possible to be welcomed home into the family of God.  Jesus reaches out His nail-scarred hands to us in friendship and forgiveness.  He sends His Holy Spirit to renew our lives and our relationships within our families and within the congregation.  Every Sunday is like a homecoming.  We come in repentance and receive God's gifts of grace and forgiveness through faith.  Through the gift of Holy Communion our faith is strengthened and our relationships are restored in righteousness.  Come home to Jesus.

Pastor James Kroonblawd

Please Bring in Donations
If you have tickets to a sporting event, play or concert, if you specialize in arts and crafts and would like to donate some of your handiwork, or if you would like to donate time in the form of babysitting or household chores or baking, we'd love to have your items/services for the event!  In the past, people have created themed baskets, donated new toys, tools, home decor items, health & beauty items, gardening equipment, electronics and more. If your employer offers matching donations or would like to contribute an item or service, we would appreciate that, as well. You can even donate a special event like a brunch for 6 or a pool party for 10 -- it's up to you! Donation forms are available in the school hallway and can be dropped off in the school office. Please submit your donation forms by  March 4.

This Sunday in Bible Study
The Faces of God.  Join Pastor Kroonblawd this Sunday (in the gym) to view portions of a video series with Richard Wurmbrand, founder of Voice of the Martyrs.  This Sunday we will view The Faces of God.  Boiling water was thrown in a girl's face because of her mother's Christian activities. Can her face shine with Christ's love? In this video, Pastor Wurmbrand discusses the many faces of God and His children.

The Challenge of Islam (Part One): What is Islam?  To the Western mind, the faith and practice of Islam are often a profound mystery. In recent years, this religion has emerged as a prominent -- yet misunderstood -- belief system.  While Islam is a religious force to be reckoned with, it already has been dealt its deathblow through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. Armed with love and an attitude that considers Muslims -- like everyone else -- those for whom Christ died, Christians can share the same Good News that gives them salvation.  Study led by Jim Kohn in the Conference Room.
