In this edition of our monthly e-newsletter, we discuss how the state legislature of Oregon has already had a busy year passing laws pertaining to paid sick leave, non-compete agreements and social media employee privacy. Now Governor Kate Brown has signed into law House Bill 3025

We also discuss a 1.7 million dollar class action judgment against Chuck E. Cheese was granted preliminary approval by US District Court Judge Janis L. Sammartino. Chuck E. Cheese (CEC Entertainment) has agreed to pay approximately 28,500 Class Members who applied to work for CEC Entertainment since March 24, 2012.

Finally, our tip of the month addresses Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the legal ramifications for not complying with FCRA guidelines.
