Creative Connections with Kids
Wednesday, 11/4
6:30 - 7:30

Sometimes petting and brushing your dog isn't enough during a visit.  Working for prolonged periods of time with kids or elders sometimes calls for a few extra "tricks up your sleeve."

We have created a fun hour-long class that will give you scads of ideas on easy, simple activities you can incorporate into your visits - with not much more than you already have - a dog, treats, and a few well chosen "things" to bring along.
Your $10 PAWS U fee will include many of those "things" for you to start working with.

Amazing Tails:

Making Connections with PAWS

PAWS Therapy Companion of Lynne Robinson, Lacie
PAWS for People established its Courthouse Canine program in Cecil County, Maryland. Through the hard work and dedication of PAWS Therapy Team, Carey Geres and Kilo, the program expanded to include Harford County, Maryland.

Now we have sent our first Courthouse Canine Team into the Delaware State Attorney General's office. You might have guessed from the picture, this Courthouse Canine team is a bit different - the therapy companion is Lacie the cat!

Our very first Courthouse request in Delaware may require us to tweak the name of the program but will definitely "cat-apult" us into the Delaware court system!

PAWS Therapy Team
Jenni and her PAWS Therapy Companion, Beau, have been members of PAWS for two years. They cur rently visit at The Cottages, a transition program for adjudicated youth. They've had a positive impact on the lives of these young boys who are unable to have pets of their own. Jenni  also advocates for The Cottages, working with PAWS to recruit new teams for the site and offering to take volunteers in for shadow visits.

Not only does Jenni visit with Beau, she supports PAWS in other ways, serving on event committees, answering the call for teams for special events such as summer camp sessions, and participating on the Marketing Committee and focusing on social media.

Thank you for all that you do, Jenni!
