Bring an Ornament Tomorrow!
Join us for an all ages service 10:30 this Sunday, December 20, as we share in the Yule Spirit and decorate our Christmas trees. We will hear stories and sing songs of the season. Please bring an ornament to hang on the tree. Don't miss the music and the fun of this special big service. We hope to see many RE children and youth and look forward to this special day. The Nursery is open early for parents who want to attend Sunday Morning Spiritual Practices.
Youth Participant
Coming of Age youth participant Michael Mehrdadi will be offering the welcome and greeting at the start of the service (after the choir sings)!

Spirit Play & True Reflections Training
On Sunday, January 10, you are invited to a training for those who currently volunteer, or would like to volunteer, in our Sunday School program for elementary school age children. All volunteers are invited to enjoy soup Sunday after our church service that day and then come to the first hour (noon - 1 pm) of the training for an overview on the day in either Spirit Play (Kindergarten through 2nd grade) or True Reflections (3rd through 5th grades). Those who have not previously received Storyteller and Doorkeeper training are invited to stay the rest of the afternoon (1-5 pm). We will provide a full training on the Spirit Play method. Contact Miranda to reserve your spot!
In Memory of Tami Buscho: Final Thoughts
By Rev Roger
Last Sunday's memorial service included families from within UUSS and Tami's friends and colleagues from the larger community.  We appreciate former Senior High Youth Group member (and now 20s & 30s member) Erik Baily for speaking his appreciation of Tami and for composing an instrumental (guitar) work of music for the service. We also thank the members and friends who have been making generous contributions to the RE Fund in Tami's honor. Her family and colleagues spoke of their deep appreciation of all the church has meant to Tami.
The UUSS Office will close at noon on December 24th and be closed December 25th.

I have enjoyed spending 2015 with you all. I look forward to making many new memories in the upcoming year. Enjoy your time together the next couple of weeks.

Jingle all the way!
